There is a Free Product Room located inside the Environmental Centers in Forest Lake and Woodbury. Residents may browse the shelves and bring home products such as paints, stains, automotive fluids, and household cleaners.
All products brought to an Environmental Center are inspected to determine if they are usable. If the container and product are in good shape, it is put in the Free Product Room for others to take. One person’s waste can be another’s useful product!
Procedures
- No one under 18 years old will be allowed to enter unattended.
- Weekly product limit: 10 products total, including any paint.
- Weekly paint limit: two 5-gallon pails, three 1-gallon cans, and three 1-quart cans.
- Weekly aerosol limit: 4 items.
- Participants are required to complete a release form after taking products. You must be at least 18 years old to participate.
- Staff has final authority for enforcement of rules and limits.
Parking
Parking is available in the lot directly in front of the Environmental Center.
