Did you know? According to the 2010 census, 13% of Washington County’s residents are of Norwegian ancestry, totaling almost 40,000 people.

The exhibit is a wonderful complement to the Historic Courthouse, especially this year as we celebrate the Bicentennial of the First Norwegian Immigrants to arrive in America. The immigrant ship "Restauration" set sail on July 4, 1825 and arrived in New York in October, 1825.
