Washington County is aware that scammers are impersonating Washington County staff and attempting to trick individuals into engaging with them.

The scammers are sending phishing emails from the domain @WashingtonCountyMN.ORG.This domain is not associated with Washington County.

The county’s actual domain is @WashingtonCountyMN.GOV.

What we know:

• The fake domain was recently registered by an unidentified third-party and is being misused to impersonate our organization in phishing activities.
• The domain redirects to the county’s legitimate government website, further enhancing its deceptive appearance.

What to do:

1. Be extremely vigilant.
2. Verify the email domain of any emails that appear to come from Washington County. They may be emails from this fake domain.
3. Do not open or click on any emails from @WashingtonCountyMN.ORG.
4. Report any emails coming from @WashingtonCountyMN.ORG using your email provider’s reporting tools.

Spring weight restrictions will go into effect on Washington County roads at 12:01 a.m., Tuesday, March 3. Restrictions will be in effect for eight weeks, unless extraordinary conditions require extending them.  

Spring weight restrictions applies to any county road without a posted weight limit is 10 tons per axle. During spring weight restrictions, Washington County does not issue permits for transport over the axle weight limit, except in cases of a serious public health emergency.
