Naloxone Access Points

Naloxone Access Point with the Steve Rummler HOPE Network (SRHN) graphic banner

Washington County partners with the Steve Rummler HOPE Network (SRHN) to host Naloxone Access Points (NAPs) across the county. At designated NAPs, anyone from the community can pick up free naloxone kits and fentanyl test strips. No insurance or personal information is needed.

  • Naloxone, commonly known as Narcan: A medicine that can reverse the effects of an opioid overdose. Each kit has three doses of intramuscular (IM) naloxone and the supplies to administer it safely. Video: How to administer naloxone.
  • Fentanyl test strips: A tool that can be used to check for the presence of fentanyl in other drugs. Fentanyl is a strong synthetic opioid that can cause overdoses.
