Transient Merchant License

Any out-of-state business coming into Washington County to sell goods or services must have a Transient Merchant License.

  • The license is valid for one year.
  • It is only valid at the location listed on your original application.

How to Apply

  1. Complete all forms:
  1. Provide required documents
    • A list of the merchandise you will sell
    • A statement of appointment
    • A notarized statement from the applicant
  1. Pay the fee | Cash (do not mail), Check or Money Order 
    • $150
    • A $3,000 surety bond is required
  1. Submit forms, documents, and fee by mail or in person to:
