Prescribed Burns

Location: Lake Elmo Park Reserve

Date and time: Tuesday, April 2, 2024, 11 a.m. - 6 p.m.

Reminder that on Tuesday April 2nd there is a prescribed fire open house at Lake Elmo Park Reserve Nordic Center. If weather conditions are favorable, units around the Nordic Center will be burned between 11 and 6 pm on Tuesday April 2.

Prescribed Burn Open House

Location: Lake Elmo Park Reserve, Nordic Center

Date and time: Tuesday, April 2, 2024, 4 p.m. - 7 p.m.

The county invites the public to attend and gain insights into the county’s commitment to ecological stewardship. Prescribed burns help to keep grasslands and forests healthy by removing accumulated fuel, recycling nutrients, encouraging the growth of native plants, and reducing invasive species and shrubs.
